A dressage stallion in perfection, a living legend of such a quality that is certainly unique: Totilas is leading the dressage sport to new public presence and has changed its world long-lasting. Within a short time, Totilas set three world records, which he himself had broken again and again under Edward Gal. Within the space of only two years, this exceptional stallion has won all the titles there are to win – two times individual gold and team gold at the 2010′ World Championships, individual and team gold at the European Championships in Windsor, 2010′ World Cup winner and best horse of the German silver team under Matthias Alexander Rath in 2011. Before this, he already won with him the Grand Prix Special in Munich and Wiesbaden, became two-time German Champion in Balve and won all three competitions in Aachen. Also in 2012, he was winning in Grand Prix and freestyle in Hagen and took two silver medals at the German Championships in Balve.
The sire of Totilas, Gribaldi, was Trakehner Champion Stallion, “Trakehner Stallion of the Year 2008” and was himself internationally successful with Edward Gal. He has consistently produced top-class horses such as World Cup winner Painted Black/Anky van Grunsven, Grand Prix winner Sisther de Jeu/Edward Gal, Peter Pan/Beatriz Ferrer-Salat, BMC Pasternak/Coby van Baalen, Girasol/Nadine Capellmann or Zardin Firfod/Patrick Kittel. There are 23 licensed sons in Germany alone, including the Trakehner Champion Stallion Imhotep and Reserve Champion All Inclusive. Totilas’ dam has produced one intermediate (M) and one advanced (S) level dressage horse as well as Totilas’ full sister, Uusminka. The granddam Elsa produced the advanced (S) level dressage horses Talan and Uljanoff. The dam line, which contains a lot of Holstein blood and is of Oldenburg origin, is known for many successful sport horses and licensed stallion such as Palermo/Wolfgang Kun and Marius/Caroline Bradley.
