San Amour, with an ideal frame and modern type, has inherited the ability and talent for the highest dressage level. San Amour was himself premium stallion and top price at the Oldenburg licensing in Vechta in 2006. As a celebrated main premium winner and winner of the dressage section (rideability 9.5) at his stallion performance test in 2008, he immediately qualified for the Bundeschampionship where he was placed in the final. As a sire he is a star performer and the Bundeschampionship is his stage: In 2012, his daughter Soiree d’Amour became, with Kira Wulferding, Regional Champion as well as the towering Bundeschampion of three-year old mares and geldings. In 2013 her full sister Soiree de Saumur won the bronze medal at the Bundeschampionship for five year old dressage horses. Shakira W was a highly placed finalist in 2012 and 2013 as was the licensed Special Agent Amour in 2011 and 2012.
The number of licensed sons of the now ten-year old stallion has increased to 29, including Sandbrink, Champion Stallion at the 2011 Southern German licensing and other premium stallions. From his first offspring an unusually high number of San Amour daughters received the state premium in different breeding areas. The 2011 Oldenburg elite mare show became quite a San Amour festival: Nine daughters were approved, four reached the Brillantring and took second, third, fourth and ninth place. In 2012 he presented, with four daughters, the biggest quota at the Westphalian elite mare show. The highlight in 2013 was his daughterCalamity Jane, champion mare of the elite mare show in Rastede. He continually produces top-class horses for different auction sites. In 2011, San Amour presented Stern von Afrika, the Oldenburg Regional Champion and Vice Bundeschampion of three-year old mares and geldings.
San Amour’s dam, Puppenfee, is an impressive mover and Oldenburg Reserve Champion Mare, who also produced San Amour’s full sister Auguste Victoria, the Oldenburg Regional Champion in 2008, and the licensed full brother San Amour II (private stallion Belgium) in 2012. He is strictly bred for performance: Dam’s sire Plaisir d’Amour was placed amongst the best in Grand Prix and competed at the World Championship in 1998. Figaro, like the thoroughbred Kronprinz xx, produced tough performance horses.
