Epsom Gesmeray carries Almé x Kantzau as does Baloubet du Rouet and Red Arrow, probably best SF mareline of the 2000s. Sire Jalisco was successful both in the sport and at stud, an Olympic performer himself and sire of the legendary Quidam de Revel. Epsom was purchased by P. Schockemoehle and was 4th in the Ladies German Championships with an amateur rider and won at the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken. From 2004 to 2006, with the amateur Korean J. Jung Huyn, Epsom placed in numerous Grand Prix and competed at the Athens Olympics where he was a finalist. Epsom is bred from a performance pedigree.
The first Epsom offspring will be 5 years in 2014. From only a small number of offspring Epsom Gesmeray has sired strong jumping contenders; Gézalmé Z dominated the approval standards Z in 2007.Gepsom in 2009 gets 10/10 for jumping during his testing in Germany. His radiological score is excellent. Epsom Gesmeray displays good movement, is supple and elastic with good reflexes and an excellent gallop. His offspring have cool temperaments, are easy to ride and have good mouths. His classic style makes him easy to cross, but avoid heavier mares.
