Consul DL Vie Z performed at high international level and has won more than €26,000 last year! He passes on his elegance, blood, balance and respect to his offspring. He suits perfectly for big strong mare as he is a powerful, compact stallion with a strong topline and superb athletic ability, carrying some of the best of Dutch and German breeding in his pedigree.
Consul DL Vie Z was the €140,000 highlight of the 2007 Elite Sales, and was a finalist in the French 4-year-old championships. In 2011, he was placed in several young horse classes before moving up to grand prix. Since then, he has been placed in many classes up to 1.50m, including speed classes and CSI2* grands prix. In 2015, he won the prestigious Stallion Grand Prix at St. Lo.
Sire Clinton is a grandson of the great Cor de la Breyère via his influential son Corrado I. Consul DL Vie Z is bred on the same golden Clinton/Heartbreaker cross that produced Cornet Obolensky, Utrillo van de Heffinck and many other grand prix offspring – in total, Clinton has produced 70 grand prix jumping horses and over 60 licensed sons. In hos own competitive career under Dirk Demeersman, Clinton was second in the Aachen grand prix, fourth in the Rome grand prix and competed at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Clinton’s full sister MS Franziska is the dam of grand prix jumper and licensed stallion Contact Van De Heffinck, while other mares from the same dam have also produced licensed sons and grand prix jumpers.
Damsire Heartbreaker was awarded KWPN Horse of the Year in 2016 in recognition of his influence on modern breeding. He has nine approved sons and 14 approved grandsons, however, his impact is not limited to the sire line; many of his daughters have been awarded with the predicates ster, keur, elite or sport. He was in the top ten of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for seven consecutive years; in 2016, his grandson Cornet Obolensky is in third. He is also grandsire of Hello Sanctos, Olympic team gold medallist and sole winner of the Rolex Grand Slam. His son Romanov won three grands prix and a World Cup qualifier in 2015 under Bertram Allen. Despite turning 27 years of age this year, Heartbreaker’s influence on the global jumping scene is still significant; grandson Early was a double World Young Horse Champion by winning the five- and six-year-old championships.
Consul Dl Vie Z is the sire of licensed stallions Coquin de Coquerie Z, finalist in the Bundeschamptionat, 31st in the 6-year-old World Championships at Lanaken in 2015, and recent winner of a 1.45m grand prix in Lichtenvoorde, and Atarax Du Plant, who is from a Concorde x Elf III mare. Several other sons and daughters are winning young horse classes.
